- Description: The story of a Moro, a supposed son of a Moro Datu, who is compelled to leave home because of an affair with a Moro girl who is to marry another and because he is denied the love of his people. He comes to Manila where he inherits a fortune from his [real] father, a millionaire banker, the illicit lover of his dead mother. He marries a Manila society girl but still frequents the cabarets and bright lights. He leaves his wife and two children and goes to Japan where he falls in love with a Japanese. Bur the girl following tradition has been betrothed since childhood to another of her kind and she marries her parents’ choice. However, she commits suicide because she loves the Filipino.
